OK Capsule

Connect OK Capsule to Gemini.

Gemini's support for OAuth-secured remote MCP servers is still moving. The reliable path today is Gemini CLI, which reads MCP servers from a config file and completes the OAuth sign-in in your browser.

Plan requirements, honestly

Google has changed Gemini's extension/MCP surface repeatedly. If your Gemini app build doesn't offer a custom MCP server with OAuth, that's expected — use the CLI path below, or connect Claude or ChatGPT instead.

Gemini support is honest work-in-progress: the CLI path works today, the consumer app surface is still changing. We update this page as Google ships.

Setup

Six steps to connected.

Every step is the action — click the card and it happens.

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Join the open beta

The self-serve wizard creates your workspace and adds your team's staff emails. No sales call, no waitlist.

Already have a workspace? Skip to step 2.

    Open the signup wizard

  2. 3

    Step 3

    Add the connector in Gemini

    Install Gemini CLI and sign in to your Google account. Add an MCP server entry to your Gemini CLI settings file with httpUrl set to the OK Capsule endpoint. { "mcpServers": { "okcapsule": { "httpUrl": "https://storefront.okcapsule.app/mcp" } } }

    Open Gemini

  3. 4

    Step 4

Sign in with your work email

A browser window opens automatically. Enter your work email, type the one-time code, approve the scopes — done.

  4. 5

    Step 5

    Watch it work

Exact clicks

Where things live in Gemini.

Gemini CLI (recommended today)

  • Install Gemini CLI and sign in to your Google account.
  • Add an MCP server entry to your Gemini CLI settings file with httpUrl set to the OK Capsule endpoint.
  • { "mcpServers": { "okcapsule": { "httpUrl": "https://storefront.okcapsule.app/mcp" } } }
  • Start the CLI and run /mcp — it opens your browser for the OK Capsule email sign-in.

The Gemini app

  • We won't invent steps here. If your Gemini app doesn't yet let you add a custom OAuth-secured MCP server, use the CLI above or connect Claude or ChatGPT.

What sign-in looks like

Modern MCP clients run this whole handshake for you. Nothing to copy, nothing to store.

  1. 1Your MCP client opens a browser window automatically — nothing to configure.
  2. 2Enter your work email. It has to be a staff email on your OK Capsule workspace.
  3. 3Type the one-time code we email you. No password, no API key.
  4. 4Approve the scopes the client is asking for.
  5. 5Pick your workspace if your email is on more than one.
  6. 6You're connected for 30 days. Tokens refresh automatically in the background.

Try it now

Prompts that do real work.

Add the connector and sign in first — then run one of these.

Pack building

Using the OK Capsule tools, show me our product catalog, then design a personalized daily supplement pack for one of our customers — ask me about their goals and any restrictions first. Explain why you chose each product, then walk me through creating the order.

Client hand-off

Using the OK Capsule tools, design a supplement pack for one of our customers focused on sleep and stress — browse our catalog, use the product intelligence to explain each pick and flag anything that shouldn't be combined, then create a shareable pack-builder link I can send them to review and check out.

Catalog intelligence

Using the OK Capsule tools, pull the product intelligence for our top products and draft customer-friendly descriptions we could use on our site — lifestyle language only, no medical claims.

Troubleshooting

The three things that actually go wrong.

Sign-in refused (403)

Your email isn't on a workspace yet. Run through the onboarding wizard, or ask your workspace admin to add you as a staff user.

Asked to sign in again after a month

Expected. The 30-day refresh window rolled over — sign in again and you're set for another 30 days.

Connector won't add
